Recording stays on your device
The current Android preview stores projects in the app’s private storage and has no internet permission. It asks for microphone permission when you record live inputs. Mixing and mastering run locally. Exported files go to the destination you choose. Uninstalling the app removes its private projects, so export work you want to keep before uninstalling.
This website
The site and app downloads are delivered by OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare. Normal service request data, such as IP address and browser information, is processed by those hosts to deliver and protect the site. We have not added advertising trackers or an analytics SDK. Site fonts are served from the same origin.
Optional sign-in and payments
Optional ChatGPT sign-in provides this site with a stable account identifier and your name or email. When purchases launch, purchase records will be associated with that account. Stripe will handle payment details on its checkout; Mxsie will store purchase status rather than card numbers. Checkout is currently closed.
Cloud collaboration is still being built
No cloud subscription is sold in this preview. Hosted track uploads, band permissions, retention and storage limits will be described before the Cloud plan launches. Downloading the trial does not enroll you or upload your recordings.
Early software, real limitations
This is a signed Android developer preview, not a store release. Physical USB interfaces, Bluetooth behavior, interruptions and long sessions still need qualification. Keep separate backups of important audio. The app runs in the foreground and currently limits a take to 30 minutes. iPhone and desktop graphical apps are not available yet.
Third-party audio components
Mxsie includes miniaudio, libebur128, nlohmann/json and TinySoundFont. The Full instrument bank is GeneralUser GS. Their license and attribution notices are bundled in the app.
